Principal Network Engineer - Aruba Software & Switching
This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.
Aruba is redefining the “IT EDGE”. Creating new customer experiences by building intelligent spaces and digital workspaces. We are focused on campus, branch, mobility and the IoT to transform business models with the combined power of compute, context, control and secure connectivity.
**_ How you'll make your mark:_**
- Providing pre and post sales technical support to the sales teams, customers and partners for various technologies and solutions related to Aruba products.
- Work on complex problems requiring in-depth fault analysis and troubleshooting.
- Formulate technical action plans for analyzing and resolving problems.
- Replicate customer issues in lab.
- Participate in solutions for knowledge base.
- Provide technical cross-training to relevant groups as needed.
- Participate in serviceability enhancement requirement reviews.
- Work effectively in a team environment including colleagues, QA and development engineers, and the Aruba field organization.
**About you**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Typically, more than 10 years of experience in level 3 support.
- Advanced English level. B2+ or C1. required.
**Knowledge and Skills**:
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in configuring & troubleshooting data networks
- Experience of working in data center networks or data center technologies is a plus
- Expert level knowledge of IP networking, switching & routing.
- Packet level understanding of IP protocols
- Must have good understanding of IP Multicast & Multicast routing protocols
- Must have good knowledge of 802.1x, Radius, TACACS+, firewalls, security policies, access lists.
- Proficient in Datacenter architectures like spine / leaf, VXLAN, BGP EVPN, MPLS etc
- Good knowledge of virtualization solutions like VMware ESXi, vShpere
- Good knowledge of technologies associated with network automation and orchestration like Ansible, Rest APIs, Python scripting ,etc
- Must have knowledge of Linux, Bash
- Industry certifications like ACSX, CCIE, JNCIE, ACSP, CCNP is a plus.
