A Masseur is responsible for providing professional treatments and services for guests, including but not limited to body and facial treatments, massages, home care advice and tour of the facilities. Maintaining safety and cleanliness and ensuring guest satisfaction regarding all areas of Spa services in accordance with company standards.
What will I be doing?
As a Masseur, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Attending Hilton Trainings and monthly departmental meetings as required
- To ensure high standards of cleanliness in the department
- To report any maintenance issues to Front Office Manager
- Assist in all areas of the operations as requested by Front Office Manager
- To be fully aware of current and future services offered by the hotel
- To ensure that departmental operation budget is adhered to, maximizing revenues and minimizing expenses
- Provides efficient guest service from point of arrival to check out. Books, changes and cancels appointments and up sells retail
- Accurately schedule all massage reservations, changes, confirms and cancel massage reservations
- Accurately process all billing and posting for spa and retail services: report any overages and shortages to Front Office Manager
- Accurately explain spa treatment menu and packages to guests
- Greet and welcome all incoming and outgoing guests and staff in accordance to brand Standards
- Maintain the quality of service and overall appearance of locker areas, lounge area and restrooms
- Ensure proper cleanliness of locker room, lounge, steam/sauna room, prep room and restrooms
- Ensure stocking of water and other beverages and set up and break down of beverage and fruit station
- Assisting guest and providing personal training session, if necessary
- Maintaining the Fitness center: looking after equipment and coordinating with Precor representative for maintenance and product updates
- To ensure audio-visual equipment is well maintained and in good condition
- To ensure high standards of cleanliness in the department
- Provides courteous and efficient guest service from point of arrival through check out
- Orient the guests through our Fitness facility, greets guests and provides personal guest service
What are we looking for?
A Massage Therapist serving Hilton Brand hotels and vacations is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Experience in hospitality or customer service industry is required
- Ability to read, speak and understand the English language to effectively communicate with guests
- Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- At least 1 year experience in the spa or hospitality industry
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Experience in a resort or wellness related field

Proporcionar servicios de masaje a huéspedes usando accesorios y productos. Proporcionar tratamientos corporales a los huéspedes usando exfoliantes corporales, envolturas y/o hidroterapia. Evaluar las necesidades de los huéspedes y averiguar acerca de contraindicaciones (p. ej.: alergias, presión arterial alta, embarazo) antes de comenzar el servicio. Mantenerse al corriente con técnicas y modalidades actuales relacionadas con su campo de trabajo. Acompañar a los huéspedes hasta/desde los cuartos de tratamiento. Arreglar la estación de trabajo, cuarto de tratamiento y/o paños. Verificar con el huésped a menudo para promover su comodidad y seguridad durante el servicio. Promover y vender los servicios del spa/salón incluyendo el ofrecimiento de productos al detalle relacionados con el Spa. Limpiar, dar mantenimiento y esterilizar los instrumentos. Mantener la estación de trabajo y/o cuarto de tratamiento limpio durante el turno; desechar los desperdicios y sábanas sucias; guardar los suministros y equipo al final de cada turno. Vigilar y atenerse al horario previsto durante el día. Manejar un comportamiento inapropiado de los huéspedes siguiendo los Procedimientos normalizados de trabajo de Marriott International para conducta inapropiada de huéspedes y terapeutas, conducentes a e incluyendo la interrupción de un tratamiento o servicio e informando al supervisor/gerente. Mantener sus habilidades y licencia actualizadas en el área de servicio según los requisitos regionales.
Reportar accidentes, lesiones y condiciones de trabajo riesgosas al gerente; completar la capacitación y certificaciones sobre seguridad. Cumplir todas las políticas y procedimientos de la compañía; asegurarse de que tanto su uniforme como su aspecto personal sean pulcros y profesionales; mantener la privacidad de la información propiedad de la compañía; proteger los bienes de la compañía. Dar la bienvenida y atender a todos los huéspedes de acuerdo con las normas de la compañía; anticiparse a las necesidades de servicio de los huéspedes y atenderlas; dar las gracias a los huéspedes con sinceridad. Hablar con otras personas usando un lenguaje claro y profesional. Desarrollar y mantener relaciones de trabajo positivas con otras personas. Estar de pie, sentado o caminar durante períodos prolongados; agarrar, dar vuelta y manipular objetos de varios tamaños y pesos. Mover, levantar, transportar, empujar, arrastrar y colocar objetos con un peso inferior a 10 libras (4,5 Kg) o su equivalente sin asistencia. Agarrar, dar vuelta y manipular objetos de varios tamaños y pesos, lo que requiere habilidades motrices precisas y buena coordinación entre las manos y los ojos.
