**JOB SUMMARY**
The CTC NA Analyst Associate Disputes supports the end to end accounts payable or accounts receivable processes to ensure accurate, efficient and compliant billing or invoicing, financial transactions and cash flow management. Under close supervision, this job maintains financial records, analyzes billing data, generates invoices or verifies and processes invoices. This job also works closely with internal cross functional teams to improve billing or invoicing operations and delivers excellent customer service externally.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
+ INVOICING: Helps implement the end to end invoicing process, including the accurate and timely generation or verification and booking of invoices and supporting documentation.
+ BILLING ANALYSIS: Supports the analysis of billing data to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for process improvements.
+ DISCREPANCY RESOLUTION: Assists with the investigation and resolution of billing or invoicing discrepancies by analyzing billing or invoicing data, communicating with cross functional teams and customers or suppliers, and making necessary corrections.
+ DOCUMENTATION: Maintains accuracy and completeness of billing or invoicing records by helping conduct regular audits and reconciliations.
+ RECORDS MAINTENANCE: Partners to maintain financial records related to accounts payable or accounts receivable processes, assuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
+ COLLABORATION: Partners with cross functional teams to help verify billing or invoicing information and ensure timely and accurate processing of customer or supplier payments.
+ REPORT GENERATION: Drafts standard financial reports related to accounts payable or accounts receivable to support informed decision making on billing or invoicing matters.
+ CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Partners to implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable or accounts receivable processes.
+ INDUSTRY EXPERTISE: Stays abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best in class industry standards in accounts payable or accounts receivable processes, providing inputs for necessary updates and improvements.

**Qualifications**
Required
+ Demonstrated background in Disputes activities or equivalent experience
+ English Level (C1)

**In this role, your responsibilities will be:**
+ Reviews, drafts and negotiates agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standards, under the supervision of more senior Contract Services staff, including in:
+ Responding, within established guidelines, to customers' RFP/RFQs, vendor qualification documents and contractual requests.
+ Drafting and negotiating with customers, appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests and policies of the parties.
+ Initially takes the Contracts Lead role on:
+ Less complex international and multi-BU project contracts.
+ Less complex frame agreements (multi-BU & -WA).
+ Takes the Contracts Lead role (including the Global Contracts Lead role on GSAP accounts) on more complex projects and frame agreements as experience develops.
+ Provides advice during the approval process to assist business owners in making informed decisions and secure appropriate approvals.
+ Interfaces with customers, members of the legal team and other Emerson stakeholders to bring deals to closure.
+ Analyses business, financial, and legal risks with supervision as necessary.
+ Researches information on existing agreements and contractual programs, assisting with analysis and compiling data for reports.
+ Provides contract-related guidance to Sales, Project Management and other stakeholders.
+ Provides legal advice and interpretation of legal matters, including the application of law.
+ As experience develops, provides direction to outside counsel on routine matters.
+ Participates in the approval process to assist business owners in making informed decisions and secure appropriate approvals.
+ Develops and communicates creative solutions and mitigation strategies to key negotiation points.

+ 2-4 years of work experience in a contracts-related role
+ Licensed to practice law in Costa Rica or the US.
+ Law Degree.
+ Comfortable to work with senior management.
+ Intermediate MS Office skills.
+ Excellent oral and written English language skills.
+ Excellent negotiation skills.
+ Extensive knowledge of Contract law & principles.
Commercial provisions such as warranty, liquidated damages/penalties, payment & freight terms, documentary credits and bank guarantees/sureties

The Legal Intern is responsible to provide support to the Latin American Legal Counsels on their daily duties, mainly but not limited to ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
**Main responsibilities**
- Supporting with legal formalization process.
- Supporting of the corporate legal compliance.
- Supporting operative activities of LAC Legal Counsels.
- Supporting and collecting relevant data at the different areas of Legal.
- Manages and updates functional databases used by Legal.
- Supports with administration duties and data input.
- Collect, assess, document and control (changes in) processes for the assigned area and, if necessary, correct detected errors and / or gaps in processes.
- Prepare / ensure preparation, explain and follow up on management reports, at request or at own initiative, in line with company reporting standards.
- Keep track of standard templates of legal documents, forms, standard procedures and policies for the LAC region.
- To keep track and control of the POA´S, local registrations, loan agreement dates validation, others.
- To control and update required information systems.
