- Secure and safeguard data to preserve its integrity, reliability, and availability and ensure appropriate access levels are maintained.
- Work with project team members in all phases of software development life cycle.
- Work with team to follow system test plans, ensure software quality assurance standards are achieved, and validate that business goals are accomplished.
- Interface with support, product management, project management, QA, DBAs, and other colleagues to support ongoing operations.
- Track and report development progress and performance daily.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation and release notes.

**Qualifications**:
**What your background looks like**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering or related field with significant software and computer science course work.
- 3+ years software development experience utilizing AWS Serverless technologies like Lambda, ECS, EKS etc
- Working knowledge of following: API’s, Docker, Kubernetes
- Version Control software/tools such as Bitbucket/Git
- BI tools (Tableau preferred)
- Containers and Container Application platforms (OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes preferred)
- History of personal interest in computing and developing software.
- Excellent understanding of programming concepts and methods, software development lifecycle and Agile development methodology.
- Excellent communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and time management skills.
- Ability to seamlessly transition to high-priority projects and situations.

You are a software engineering leader who loves building great software. Your work could be supporting new feature development, migrating existing features, or creating APIs. You'll lead our clients' web app projects using your years of experience in Vue, Python, and AWS. You may also contribute your Laravel, OpenID, and unit testing expertise. You strongly understand AWS serverless products and API-led development in Agile product teams.

Our client's tech stack includes VueJS on the front end and Python (with some PHP/Laravel) on the back end, deployed on an AWS serverless environment. We use modern tools, which means you'll have the opportunity to work with technologies like Webpack, Redux, Apollo, Styled Components, AWS, other cloud platforms, and much more.

You bring strong experience in backend development in Python, which is used in various AWS tools such as Lambda and ECS. You have an understanding of the Laravel or Drupal frameworks and PHP as well. On the server side, you should be able to create algorithms and business logic to manipulate data that is received from the client side. You understand Agile software development and DevOps practices and can work closely with QA teams to optimize your code.

You relish creating high-quality code from the comfort of your own home. Your engineering projects will focus on understanding customers' needs and translating those needs from product specifications into functional, production-ready code. **Job Summary**

Imprivata Customer Connect and Enterprise Access offer a highly available and performant connectivity framework that uses SSH (secure shell) to create a connectivity platform for remote support. The appliance also offers advanced auditing capabilities and centralized management for remote access.

Our product is mission-critical to our customers and our success depends on our ability to evolve our product to satisfy new customers while improving stability and maintaining security and quality.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Improving product quality and performance.
- Designing, building, and maintaining APIs, services, and systems to fulfill product needs.
- Working with other engineers to build new features.

**Required Qualifications**
- 0-1 years of experience in computer science or software engineering, or some relevant experience in systems engineering with regards to testing, reliability, security, and observability.
- Ability to excel in small-group work environments with team-related goals.
- Coding skills in Java, C++, Go or another statically typed language for building highly performant services.
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly.

We are seeking a **Principal Software Engineer** **to join our team. This position can be located near our workspace in San Jose, CR.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Design and implement full-stack enterprise software systems in an agile scrum environment.
- Lead a team to develop client-side components.
- Perform code-review for peer developers in the team.
- Assist with, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues.
- Help inform and guide development best practices within the engineering team

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- 8+ years of experience with C++ development
- Experience with C# is a plus.
- Experience writing high-quality code testable through automation and CI/CD pipeline.
- Basic understanding of cloud technologies is welcome.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact well with both internal teams and external customers.
