The Opportunity
The Online Marketing Specialist administers and operates day-to-day administration and operation of digital marketing activities focused on mobile messaging within the Global Digital Hub for the Marketing Automation Chapter. This role focuses on supporting business partners by executing email marketing programs and projects, ensuring alignment with the digital strategy for Roche events, products, services, and campaigns.

The Online Marketing Specialist is able to follow and use existing processes and procedures to work effectively, develops and communicates project goals and handles tasks with flexibility and agility. The role maintains internal processes, documentation and communication plans while adhering to guidelines and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze mobile messaging campaigns with tools like Marketo, SFMC, Braze, and OCE
  • Develop and execute transactional and outbound mobile messages
  • Create, test, and analyze user journeys, segmentation, localization, and asset creation for mobile campaigns
  • Track and report on mobile campaign performance, offering insights for improvements
  • Consult with stakeholders to understand preferences and develop solutions
  • Ensure adherence to processes, documentation, and best practices
  • Support global projects and initiatives as needed

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of professional mobile messaging experience, preferably in a global environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business Administration or a related field
  • Knowledge of HTML for mobile messaging and landing page development is preferred
  • Strong understanding of user journeys and campaign logic
  • Experienced with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Eloqua, or Braze
  • Innovative marketer aware of the latest mobile messaging trends
  • Basic SQL query experience for SFMC users; otherwise, not required
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Analytical and strategic thinker, capable of balancing short- and long-term goals
  • Autonomous operator with a proactive approach and customer-focused behavior
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Work with Marketing, Communications, and Business Support Sr. Manager, marketing communications team and site leaders on the digital employee experience of various events, campaigns, and ad hoc requests, including events invitations, coverage, follow-up communications, media production, etc.
  • Support the marketing communications campaign development process and timeline by coordinating with the Marketing Communications Council, Internal Communications team and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Leverage Digital Marketing Communications/Media skills to generate local campaigns, events and other activities.
  • Develop strategies to maximize campaigns impact and communication tactics.
  • Own and proactively manage content for internal and external campaigns/newsletters with cross-functional teams.
  • Be able to do design work and coordinate designers or copywriters, to develop collateral material to be used by Costa Rica GBS communications and marketing teams.
  • Spark discussion and monitor conversations across social media, address important mentions in real-time through engagement and understanding of ongoing milestones and activities.
  • Create and develop multimedia (audio/video/photography) content for local stakeholders' stories, internal company announcement videos, external promotional social videos, events videos, recruiting videos, training and other enterprise-wide projects, including script creation, storyboarding, budgeting, timelines, and allocation of resources, and selecting optimal forms of media for projects.
