Arquitecto de Datos
en Costa Rica
con experiencia para liderar el diseño, la gestión y la optimización de nuestra arquitectura de datos. En este puesto, se asegurará de que los datos estén seguros, sean de alta calidad y accesibles en todos nuestros sistemas de atención médica. Desarrollarás un modelo de cómo se recopilan, almacenan, procesan y aprovechan los datos, mientras se colabora con equipos de TI, ingenieros, analistas y otras partes interesadas para alinear las soluciones con los estándares de la industria y los requisitos normativos.
Responsabilidades clave
- Arquitectura y gestión de datos
- Diseñe, implemente y mantenga una arquitectura de datos de extremo a extremo, incluidas integraciones, transformaciones, bases de datos y almacenes de datos.
- Marco y gobernanza
- Establezca y aplique estándares de gestión de datos, incluidos el modelado, los metadatos y la documentación.
- Garantizar el cumplimiento de los requisitos reglamentarios, en particular HIPAA.
- Flujo de datos e integridad del sistema
- Documente los flujos de datos y los diseños del sistema para garantizar la confiabilidad, el rendimiento y la integridad de los datos.
- Supervise y mantenga la integridad en múltiples plataformas y entornos.
- Colaboración y asociación
- Trabaje en estrecha colaboración con las unidades de negocio, los equipos técnicos y los proveedores externos para ofrecer soluciones de datos escalables y fiables.

Calificaciones
- Educación y experiencia
- Licenciatura o Maestría en Ciencias de la Computación, Ingeniería Informática, Tecnología de la Información o campo relacionado. Se puede considerar una experiencia relevante equivalente.
- Dominio de inglés avanzado.
- Mínimo de 5 años de experiencia en arquitectura de datos, administración de bases de datos o gestión de datos.
- Residenciado en Costa Rica (Obligatorio)
- Habilidades preferidas
- Comprensión profunda de los principios de arquitectura de datos, las mejores prácticas y las plataformas de datos modernas.
- Experiencia con sistemas de atención médica y requisitos regulatorios (por ejemplo, HIPAA).
- Competencia en modelado de datos, diseño de bases de datos y almacenamiento de datos.
- Sólidas habilidades de colaboración y comunicación, con la capacidad de asociarse en todas las funciones y gestionar las relaciones con los proveedores.

UST is searching for a Sr. Data Engineer who will gather large and complex data sets that meet business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
The Opportunity
- You will need to create and maintain an optimal data pipeline architecture.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: audit problem causality, indicate component or application improvements, and propose better models for common issues.
- Create analytics tools that use the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
- Work with stakeholders, including executive and product teams, and data consumers, to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data consumption needs.
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What You Need
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a degree in computer science, statistics, information systems, or another related field.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational and non-relational databases, as well as familiarity with a variety of databases.
- Experience creating and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and big data sets.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience and analytical skills related to working with unstructured data sets.
- Experience managing message queues, stream processing, and highly scalable data warehouses.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Strong experience using the following software tools: Haddop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL relational models
- Experience with Azure Cloud and services such as Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL
- Experience managing streaming processing systems (Storm and Spark Streaming)
- Experience with object-oriented languages such as Python, Scala, C++, Java, and Go
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience managing software containers and automation (Docker/Kubernetes, Ansible/Puppet)
- Experience managing data flow and extraction tools such as Airflow and Big Query
- Experience with agile frameworks
- English B1–B2

Big Data/Hadoop/Splunk Developer
The Big Data/Hadoop/Splunk Developer will help with development on applications built within Azure cloud and related applications in cloud environments.
Position Overview
The Big Data/Hadoop/Splunk Developer will collaborate with cloud architects, solution engineering leads, business leaders, and product owners to implement innovative cloud solutions that enable analytics, reporting, and data science insights.
Position's General Duties and Tasks:
- Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software.
- Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes.
- Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues.
- Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
- Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
- Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Qualifications
Must have Skills:
- 5+ years of technical and development experience
- 3+ years of Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Databricks
- Experience with ETL, SQL, PySpark
- Experience managing cloud applications (Managing network security is a plus)
- Experience with git repositories and release pipelines
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
- 1 or more professional Azure certifications.
Preferred:
- Master's Degree
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science
