**Big Data/Hadoop/Splunk Developer**
_The Big Data/Hadoop/Splunk Developer will help with development on applications built within Azure cloud and related applications in cloud environments._
**Position overview**
_The Big Data/Hadoop/Splunk Developer will collaborate with cloud architects, solution engineering leads, business leaders, and product owners to implement innovative cloud solutions that enable analytics, reporting, and data science insights._
**Position's General Duties and Tasks:**
+ _Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software._
+ _Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes._
+ _Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues._
+ _Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas._
+ _Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed._
+ _Follows established guidelines/procedures._
**Qualifications**
**Must have Skills:**
+ _5+ years of technical and development experience_
+ _3+ years of Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Databricks_
+ _Experience with ETL, SQL, PySpark_
+ _Experience managing cloud applications (Managing network security is a plus)_
+ _Experience with git repositories and release pipelines_
+ _Ability to communicate effectively_
+ _Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail_
+ _1 or more professional Azure certifications._
**Preferred:**
+ _Master's Degree_
**Education Requirements**
+ _Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science_

**Job Description**:
- Define technical scope and objectives through research and participation in requirements-gathering and definition of processes
- Ingest and Process data from various sources in raw, structured, semi-structured, and unstructured format into Big Data ecosystem
- Realtime data feed processing using Big Data ecosystem
- Design, review, implement and optimize data transformation processes in Big Data ecosystem
- Test and prototype new data integration tools, techniques and methodologies
Work with cross functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure a quality product is delivered
Qualifications**
Required**:
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience.
- Experience with AWS Cloud (S3, EC2, Lambda, SNS, DynamoDB, EMR. EKS, cloud security etc.)
- 3+ years of development experience in Java. Desired using Spring Framework and related technologies (Spring boot, Spring Data, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, etc.)
- System design skills, passionate for resolving complex problems with simple and scalable solutions.
- Strong understanding of data analytics and data visualization.
- Team-player who can also work independently.
- Self-Learner with ability to quickly adopt to new technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent one-on-one communication and presentation skills, specifically able to convey technical information in a clear and unambiguous manner.
**Desired**:
- 3+ year of expertise in Big Data technologies in Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Yarn, Kafka, Airflow, Hive, HDFS, MapReduce etc.), Hadoop distributions like Cloudera.
- Experience with Scala is a plus.
- Experience with Python is a plus
- DevOps skills with knowledge of Jenkins & Terraform
- Experience with API & microservices is preferred
- Experience with monitoring, reporting and alerting tools is desirable.
- Working knowledge of Linux operating system.
- Experience in Agile development.
