Platform Hardware Design Engineers are part of a team responsible for developing platforms utilizing Intel architecture. Platforms include validation vehicles used to enable verification of NEX products, reference designs used to enable customers, and proof of concepts of new technologies. Responsibilities include working with Platform Architects to define platform requirements and board strategies, circuit definition and design, platform bring-up and testing in addition to interfacing with cross-functional teams to oversee all aspects of the hardware design.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Drives end to end development of platform hardware and translates platform level requirements to circuit and component level specifications.
- Conducts logical design of printed circuit boards through component definition and schematic capture, defines component placement and circuit trace routing rules, and oversees board layout from feasibility studies to board tapeout while meeting multidisciplinary platform level requirements.
- Considers BOM cost and availability data versus design tradeoffs at the board and system levels.
- Applies design expertise to define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output, and working parameters for hardware and software compatibility.
- Incorporates feedback from other functions (including verification, validation, manufacturing, and customer) to improve development methods.
- Collaborates with architects, other platform hardware design engineers, hardware verification engineers, technical project managers, and technicians to plan and lead platform hardware power on and debug activities.
- Resolves system development and bring up issues to deliver high quality boards and platforms for customers.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or other related Engineering degree.
- 5+ years of combined experience with:
- Hardware design, debugging, bring-up and testing.
- Implementing a board design from requirements documentation and block diagrams.
- End-to-end hardware flow - product requirements, logical design, physical design, manufacturing, platform bring-up and testing.
- Interacting with cross-functional teams (Signal/Power Integrity, Thermal/Mechanical, PCB Layout, Manufacturing, Package, Validation, Software, Silicon).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ Experience with Cadence Concept.
- Familiarity with Cadence System Capture and Allegro.
- Understanding of the PCB layout process and basic layout-affecting principles such as board stackup, manufacturability, SI, PI, EMI, EMC, ESD.

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

Responsibilities
Design and implement secure, scalable, multi-tenant bank technology platform components with bank-grade data isolation and security.
Develop just-in-time and batch distributed data processing systems with 99.9%+ uptime, disaster recovery, and failover capabilities.
Integrate AI agents and automation tools into development workflows for code generation, quality control, deployment, and operations.
Build enterprise-grade APIs and platform features optimized for high-volume, low-latency financial transaction processing.
Collaborate closely with architecture and cloud services teams to drive design-to-manage platform development and operational excellence.
Participate in technical design reviews, contribute innovative solutions, and share AI and distributed systems expertise with the team.
Experiment with LLM integration, prompt engineering, and agentic frameworks to enhance platform intelligence and automation.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards such as PCI DSS and SOC 2, including audit trails and data privacy protections.
Requirements
Technical Experience
Required experience working in banking or fintech
5+ years of software development experience in enterprise SaaS environments serving 100K+ users.
Proven expertise in distributed systems and data-intensive applications, ideally within financial services or banking technology.
Strong background in Golang (3+ years) for building secure, high-performance API services, supplemented by Java/Spring experience.
Expert-level PostgreSQL skills including database design, optimization, security, and performance tuning in demanding environments.
Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud for enterprise deployments, including security and compliance frameworks.
Experience working remotely within distributed engineering teams and agile development processes.
AI & Automation
Demonstrated passion for AI development agents and agentic technologies in software development workflows.
Practical knowledge of AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and others.
Experience implementing automation that enhances productivity in build, test, deployment, or monitoring workflows.
Familiarity with LLM integration, prompt engineering, and designing AI-powered systems.
Enterprise SaaS & Security
Experience designing and implementing multi-tenant architectures at enterprise scale.
