The Data Center Engineer will design, implement, and support Cisco Data Center technologies to ensure optimal performance and reliability for large-scale networks and high-profile clients worldwide. The role focuses on automating processes, resolving complex incidents, and innovating service capabilities while contributing to global Customer Experience initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Cisco Data Center solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Analyze, monitor, and automate repeatable tasks to optimize network performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in diverse network environments.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams, field engineers, and customers.
- Deliver systems/product training and create intellectual property material for internal and external use.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to influence future product development.
- Lead service delivery models and support Customer Experience (CX) teams globally.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping to prevent and mitigate critical incidents.
- Continuously innovate by applying new techniques, automation, and best practices.
Requirements
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Desired certifications: CCNP, CCIE (R&S / DC), VCP, AWS, CKA.
Professional Experience
- Proven experience in Data Center environments, consulting, or technical support roles.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Data Center Networking, Software Defined Networking, SAN, and Compute.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Nexus ACI and Nexus Standalone OS (2K/5K/7K/9K platforms).
- Proficiency with Layer 2 features (VPC, PC, STP) and Layer 3 features (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
- Experience in ACI Fabric Bring-Up and Forwarding Services.
Technical Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with VXLAN, QoS, and Multicast.
- Knowledge of ACI programmability, multi-pod, and multi-site implementations.
- Familiarity with Nexus Dashboard Insights and Orchestration for ACI.
- Understanding of virtualization and container environments (Cisco UCS, Hyperflex, VMware, Microsoft, Kubernetes).
- Cloud technologies knowledge is a plus.

- English: Conversational (B2 level minimum).

The Role
Facility Responsibilities:
• Owns and m anage site operations and asset governance
• Manage site costs, Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
• Represent RDC and Kyndryl to service partners and external Community Centralized gatekeeper for site projects execution
• Drive RE&F Project Mgt. standard, methodologies, processes & governance
• Site resource leveraging (people, technology, and communication,), partners with appropriate stakeholders to deliver all operational capabilities for the facility.
• Oversees implementation of the request process for real estate, construction and FM services
• Maintain comprehensive site records, ensuring documentation is complete and accessible for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Manage Third Party Provider Performance at a Site Level; may negotiate contracts to achieve optimal service levels and cost efficiency
• Data integrity owner for site level information
• Build and maintain high levels of credibility with the business
• Execute on Global initiatives; Drive implementation of global standards, technologies, and best practices.
• Input into the Annual Business Planning and Opex/Capex Budget Process Managed by the Regional Level
• Maintain relationship with key customers, stakeholders and support partners ie . IT, Comms, Legal, EHS, HR, Security, etc …
• Acting Project Manager for site project as needed
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of ongoing transactions, project activities, portfolio performances, highlighting key milestones, potential risks, and strategic implications.
Site Experience:
• Ensure facilities support a productive and engaging work environment for employees.

• Address employee feedback regarding facilities promptly and effectively.

Your Impact
As an Officer in Workforce Data Services, you will ensure accurate, compliant, and up-to-date employee records that support HR operations and decision-making across Newmont. Your work will directly contribute to a seamless employee experience and reliable workforce reporting.

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Your Work Environment
- You will be part of Newmont's Global Delivery Center (GDC) in Costa Rica, working within the Corporate function. The role is people-focused and involves cross-functional collaboration with global stakeholders across People, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain teams.
- While the position is intended to be hybrid, as we establish our foundation, we will begin on-site to foster strong relationships, align our strategies, and ensure a solid framework for long-term success.
- We currently have 12 open positions for Officer, Workforce Data Services. Eight roles will support operations during the day shift, while the other four will cover the night shift to ensure continuous support across time zones.
- Night shift will include a 20% pay differential in recognition of the additional commitment.
- Compensation will be aligned with the local Costa Rican market and paid in Costa Rican colones (CRC).

As Team Lead, Master Data Services- Finance, you will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timely maintenance of service master data. Your leadership will directly support operational efficiency, data integrity, and compliance across Newmont's Finance function.

- Supervise day-to-day master data creation, updates, and maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to data governance standards, policies, and procedures.
