**Responsibilities**:

**Meet the Team**
Engineering Support & Automation is a team in the IT Infrastructure and Operations organization that provides advanced tier II support and automation services to our customers, who are mainly other internal IT operational engineering teams (10+). As a team, we strive to automate as much of this support work as we can and value the ability to identify trends through metric analysis and improve processes. The team generates much of its own planned work in this fashion and will regularly engage in project work with other teams when possible. The team (7) currently consists of (6) resources spread across the US.
**What will you be doing?**
An Associate Engineer's primary focus on the Engineering Support & Automation team is day-to-day advanced support destined for the various internal IT operational engineering teams. This involves a vast range of applications and technologies for which you will be expected to learn over time. Our work requires individuals capable of thinking outside the box to troubleshoot issues and collaborate regularly with other engineering team resources to solve more complicated problems.
It's also our mission to seek out long-term resolutions for repeat issues and to recommend, document, and participate in said resolutions, many of which we will lead and develop. Related to this, we're responsible for infrastructure automation platforms (Ansible & Puppet) and practices to help teams eliminate toil and expand capabilities in Infrastructure and operations.
The position is remote however, this is at the discretion of management, and occasional visits to the office in Maryland Heights, MO, are expected.
**Requirements:**

+ Create/modify technical documentation for various systems on a regular basis

- Assisting the IAM Assurance function in risk assessment sessions for BAU platforms to help identify and address any risks or areas of improvements as well as supporting audit calls/meetings when required.
- Assisting IAM Engineering function in testing new system capabilities (i.e. IDC new forms, system connectivity with IDC, etc.)

Has demonstratable experience and an understanding of:
- 2 years work experience within a security administration type role.
- Results driven person that drives themselves to stay within accepted SLAs for the services they provide.
- Able to perform root cause analysis on incidents/problems to work on proper resolution.
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Working effectively as part of a team
- Knowledge in PowerShell scripting, SQL language and or automation via RPA (ideal but not essential)
- InfoSec frameworks and best practice such as NIST, ISO27001 and PCI DSS (ideal but not essential)

**Purpose of the position**
Provisioning of an efficient, profitable and reliable VoIP Unified Communications, Contact Center and Call Recording technologies. Implementation and operation of a centralized Unified Communications - Contact Center infrastructure including the corresponding components like gateway routers, Asterisk Cisco and MS-Teams voice technologies servers and CTI integration with CRM solutions.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Administration of Cisco Voice Network including: CUCM, Unity, GW-Routers and SIP Proxy
- Administration of Call Recording
- Technical training of End users
- Monitoring and optimization of Cisco Voice infrastructure to insure and improve efficiency and profitability
- Problem analysis and problem solving of voice issues, reporting, Call flow and Unified Communications issues
- Independent co-ordination and realization of Projects in Voice and Contact Center environments
- Independent evaluation IPT / VoIP technologies with regards to beneficial and efficient implementation within the Tech Data Group
**Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required**
- University Degree in Telecoms Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable
- Certified CCNA
- 3 Years of related experience in design and administration of Cisco IPT solutions
- Extensive working knowledge of VoIP Products and platforms, FreePBX and Asterisk
- Basic understanding of the Linux command line structure.
- Advanced knowledge of personal computers is required, as is proficiency in the operation of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel
- Good experience with TCP/IP and the ability to troubleshoot to the packet level
- Working knowledge of network switches, routers, and VoIP preferred.
- Linux Certifications are considered an asset.
- Proficiency in MS-Office products
- Knowledge in Local and Wide Area Networking
- Able to work effectively in a Multi-tasking environment
- Able to effectively communicate in English
- Willingness to travel
