3M Is Hiring a Bilingual Data Solution Architect
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Data Solution Architect provides technology leadership, direction, guidance and definition of information architecture that effectively supports 3M Business Strategy. This Architecture position requires data design, data modeling and data governance experience. This role requires leadership and communication skills as well as a level of comfort working with both technical and non-technical teams
Here, you will make an impact by:
- Analyze requirements, gather data, develop logical, physical data models and designs to deploy and maintain a wide range of Applications.
- Analyze data integration requirements and develop schemas in support of system integration.
- Work with IT and business stakeholders to ensure data models and designs support the integration of data/information flow across systems and platforms.
- Develop Application architecture to deploy functionality using a wide variety of deployment patterns either On-Premises or in the Cloud.
- Contribute to and create documentation related to architecture, design, planning, and maintaining Application Roadmaps.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information systems or equivalent experience
- 7-10 years in Information systems
- Application Consulting experience with at least 4 years as a Data / Information architect.
- Ability to translate business requirements into system requirements for current and future needs.
- Thorough knowledge of Data architecture, Schemas and Data Modelling techniques.
- Good understanding of Application data flows pertaining to one or more of the following areas: ERP (Oracle / SAP), Salesforce, Pega.
- Strong SQL skills.
- expertise with structured, unstructured and semi-structured data.
- Understanding of Big Data / Data Lake, Business Analytics /BI, Cloud Data Sources and Master Data Management.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience working in Healthcare or Lifesciences domain.
- Experience in facilitating Data Compliance needs for HIPAA, SOX, PCI. Familiarity with Data Visualization Tools like Tableau or similar

The Architect establishes and maintains enterprise and/or domain-level architecture through planning, design, execution, and operation. This includes developing and implementing the standards and practices necessary to realize and sustain the application technology stack in alignment with architectural plans. The Architect also provides expert consultation to inform both strategic and tactical technology decisions-covering areas such as web and app servers, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and high availability of application clusters. The overarching goal is to cultivate a scalable, extensible, interoperable, and adaptable IT ecosystem that aligns with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to lead our ServiceNow platform. This role will provide technical leadership, own and enforce technical governance to ensure adherence to best practices, collaborate with a dynamic team, engage with stakeholders, and oversee program management to ensure the successful delivery and continuous improvement of our ServiceNow solutions.
**How you'll make an impact:**
- Provide SNOW expert knowledge in Platform Strategy & Architecture, Governance Framework & Policy Enforcement, Solution Design & Quality Assurance, Stakeholder Collaboration & Enablement, Platform Performance, Security & Risk Management
- Translate business requirements into system qualities that lead to repeatable and executable design strategies and patterns for tactical projects / initiatives in collaboration with project teams
- Identify and define the opportunities for integration, selecting the tools, specifying the shared data & code resources, defining the interfaces and data-flows, and monitoring the success of the integration for tactical projects / initiatives
- Develop, institute, and maintain the IT design methodology, development process methodology, technology standards, and best practices.
- Provide oversight to ensure compliance with architectural standards and practices through all aspects of planning, execution, and operation.
- Lead the evaluation of new technology targeted for possible integration into the existing IT environment.
- Develop, institute, and maintain the design and metadata repository for integrating all aspects of established architectural models.
- Survey external emerging developments, and evangelize new technologies, standards and methodologies.
- Provide expert guidance on tactical projects/initiatives
- Provide training, coaching and knowledge transfer to team members on more complex tasks
- General and administrative tasks
**What you'll need (required):**
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Natural Sciences & Mathematics or a related discipline
- 10 years of experience in IT Required
- Preferred 2 years of experience demonstrably solid performance in an architect role working with cross-functional teams (within IT and/or within the business) on enterprise-level or complex/novel system implementations
- Preferred 2 years of relevant industry experience (e.g. medical device, pharmaceuticals, etc.) or in highly regulated environments Preferred
