**About the role**

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) on the Recon engineering team for ArcSight (SIEM). This role will be working in a part of the team developing new features delivering the power of the Recon end-point protection platform for Docker and other container implementations in popular container environments such as Kubernetes clusters. SDETs are key contributors in the team’s focus on quality of Recon.

Here are the quality-focused tasks in the team that SDETs are heavily involved in:

- Analyze complex software features, and build effective test strategies and test design
- Build useful tools, frameworks, and test setup to use for developing tests effectively, the goal is to minimize manual testing and for the team to write automated tests for the product
- Identify and write specialized tests necessary that are not feature-specific but are still important to ensure the quality of the system as a whole - performance, scalability, limits etc.
- Debug bugs found through test or customer cases to identify root cause and use the input to improve tests
- Work collaboratively with product and release management to control risk, improve quality, and streamline our release cycles
- Rigorous product and test code reviews with an eye towards improving the security and robustness of the system as a whole SDETs use their strong software development skills to build effective tools, harnesses, and specialized tests to assure that quality.
- SDETs also participate actively in design and code reviews, and collaborate with the cloud team to assure end-to-end system functionality.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience in agile deployment methodologies

**What will you be doing?**

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be accountable for ensuring that our customers get a quality product, testing the products against business requirements and product specifications. - Analyzes and creates new test cases for new product features based on software requirement specification documents.
- Reviews and refactors proposed test cases based on client and team feedback.
- Executes incremental, integration, end-to-end, regression and/or smoke test cases as needed.
- Codes automated tests to support functional test cases.
- Presents clear and concise input to ensure a continuous improvement of testing techniques, strategies, and standards.
- Collaborates with Agile team members during planning, grooming, demo/review, and retrospective ceremonies as required to refine estimations, clarify requirements, improve processes, and provides support during the SDLC for all QA related activities.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of Hands-on experience coding C# automated tests using Selenium WebDriver framework.
- Experience using source code version control systems as Git, TFS or similar.
- Experience working with Microsoft Test Hub and Feedback (formerly known as Microsoft Test Manager) and Azure DevOps for logging and tracking ALM related artifacts. Experience using other similar tooling as TFS, Jira or Trello might be considered.
- Experience working with Azure Data Studio and/or SQL Server Management Studio to query Azure SQL Managed Instances and/or MSSQL databases using T-SQL queries.
- Experience conducting API/Restful/WebAPI testing using Postman, SoapUI, Fiddler or similar tools.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines or similar tool
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).

**Nice to have**:

- ISTQB: Certified Tester Foundation Level in Software Testing or greater certification.
- Experience on performance/load testing using JMeter or similar tools.
- Experience using SQL Profiler or similar tooling to trace SQL statement execution.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or Microsoft Certified Professional MCSA Web Applications.
- Experience on TestIM
