**Introduction**

Job Duties:
* Specialize in performing and enabling technical support of IBM Lab software and solutions.

* Communicate action plans to the customer or IBM representative, as appropriate.
* Recommend and implement new or improvements to existing technical support tools, procedures, and processes.

**Required technical and professional expertise**
* 1 - 2+ years of experience in a customer support environment
* 1 - 2+ years of experience with TCP/IP and/or SNA protocols

**Preferred technical and professional experience**
* Knowledge of or experience using the MVS / z/OS mainframe operating system concepts
* Working knowledge of PLX, PLAS, REXX, Cobol or Assembler programming skills
* Working knowledge of packet trace or wireshark
* Ability to analyze system output from system ABENDs (logs, traces, dumps)
* Able to diagnose problems ranging from code defects, configuration issues, or performance

- Impeccable punctuality, as meeting schedules are flexible but punctuality for meetings is essential.
- Strong experience interpreting business requirements and acceptance criteria to create test plans and cases.
- Ability to investigate issues, identify causes, and resolve problems with test automation.
- Track record of creating automated test scripts in one or more BDD automation frameworks.
- Strong practical coding knowledge, able to write automation scripts in Java.
- Knowledge of continuous integration tools and source code version control systems.

**Nice to have**
- Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Management of test plans in ADO or similar platforms.

**Position Type and Expected Hours of Work**

This is a full-time consultancy, with up to 40 weekly hours during regular business times. We operate under a flexible core hours policy to accommodate various schedules, allowing consultants to perform during their peak productivity times. Additionally, we offer the flexibility to work remotely.
